Travel Vaccinations

Our Services

Whilst Stuart Road Surgery offer a limited number of vaccinations that may be required for travel, we are not a travel vaccination clinic and do not undertake all travel vaccinations.

Due to the ever changing requirements of travel vaccinations, we do not offer travel vaccination advice. For this reason, there is a certain amount of research that you will need to undertake before approaching the Surgery.

Once you have established what vaccinations you need, we can offer advice based on your previous vaccination history and whether they are required again.

What vaccinations do I need?

Using the most up to date information about travel vaccinations for the country you are visiting, you will need to establish what you require.

The NHS travel vaccination webpage can be seen here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/travel-vaccinations/ The page contains information and links to other websites that can be used to ascertain what vaccinations you require.

When should I have travel vaccinations?

It’s recommended for most travel vaccinations that these are administered 8 weeks before travel. Our Nursing staff are the only clinicians that administer travel vaccinations at the Surgery and their clinics are regularly booked up a number of weeks in advance, so we may not be able to offer you an appointment for a number of weeks. For this reason, we recommend you begin your research at least 4 months ahead of travel.
